Transfer Students

The College of Business Administration welcomes transfer students. All business students must complete 33 hours of business credit at CMU, including the MGT 499 Integrated Capstone - Strategic Management.

Make a Plan

We encourage transfer students to develop a plan for a smooth transition to CMU. We encourage them to meet with their academic advisor at the community college or university they currently attend and to contact CMU's Admission's Office for assistance in developing that plan.

Find Out What Transfers

Transfer students should identify which credits transfer to CMU and the College of Business Administration. Please refer to the online transfer guides and articulation agreements for the 29 Michigan community colleges, and the online transfer credit equivalency table that lists all courses from Michigan community colleges and other courses transferred previously from other colleges and universities.

Orientation

All incoming transfer students must attend an academic orientation. The College of Business Administration advisors conduct the academic orientation sessions for all Business transfer students. This session is a comprehensive academic advising and planning session that reviews general education requirements, College of Business Administration admission requirements and major requirements. Students build their first semester schedule and create a preliminary plan for their second and third semesters.
